There are continued the search – rescue operations in the sectors specified in line with the plan approved by the Headquarters established in the National Centre for Control of Ship Traffic of State maritime Administration comprising the leading specialists of Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Defence, State Border Service, State Maritime Administration, SOCAR and “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company” CJSC pursuant to Executive Order of December 16, 2016 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On some measures related to the accident occurred in oil containment station of “Azneft” Production Unit of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic”.
In connection with weather conditions improvement, small – capacity ships have been involved in the searches again and other ships and floating devices, helicopters, work force and divers are continuing searches today as other days.
“Mammad Suleymanov” and “Tabriz Khalilbayli” search – rescue ships involved to search – rescue operations from first day and belonging to “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company” CJSC on board which modern unmanned “ROV” submarine devices are installed carried on 24-hour video search operations in the territory of the blown flyovers.
During search – rescue operations, more than 150 items likely to refer to the blown flyover were found and handed over accordingly.
It should be noted that searches are carried out in a wide are 165 km long, and 135 km wide.
